The UAMS Student Success Center’s Tech Center is here for all students on campus. We focus on mobile device and laptop support. If you are having trouble with or need assistance in picking a new, mobile device or laptop, this is the place for you.
Tech Support
We understand how important your laptop or mobile device is to your success as a student. To help we offer the following types of support:
- Virus removal
- Device optimization (Make your laptop go faster)
- Data recovery
- Hardware installation (Only if your device has an easily accessible port, we won’t void warranties.)
- Purchasing advice
- Connectivity issues
- Software troubleshooting
- Off-campus/from home remote assistance (you MUST have an Internet connection)

Laptop Lending
If something happens to your laptop during an important assignment, you need to take a test, or just need to borrow a laptop and are planning to stay on campus, you should consider borrowing a laptop from the Tech Center. Borrowing a laptop is free and all laptops should be returned by the time the Student Success Center closes (Monday – Friday at 6:00 P.M.) To reserve a laptop you can simply fill out the online form to borrow a laptop and a representative from the Tech Center will contact you within 24 hours to finish your reservation. We also accept drop-ins (assuming availability).
